The Ultrasonic Welding Process
During this process, two pieces of plastic are welded together using high-frequency acoustic vibrations. While one piece of plastic is held down on an anvil, the other piece is placed on top and an extension is lowered down. Once in place, acoustic vibrations are applied and are converted into heat energy, allowing for high-performance welding between the two plastic components.
