As the industry’s leading custom plastic injection molding company, Schlotter Precision Products, Inc. aims on enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of your injection-molded plastic components. With our value added service of hot stamping, your product can receive all the advantages of imprinting but at an affordable cost. For more information on the process of hot stamping, its benefits, and how other value added services from Schlotter may be just what you need, please continue reading below.
The Hot Stamping Process
As a finishing service to the manufacturing process, hot stamping is used as a thermal bonding technique. First, a hot stamp die compresses a metallic foil film onto your plastic part. Next, this compression takes place for a calculated set of time. For the best results, it is important that the plastic part or component be firmly in place as the hot stamp die, or the engraved plate, make an imprint of the desired pattern.
Benefits of Hot Stamping
• Each plastic part receives an easy-to-read imprint.
• Drying is unnecessary for this process.
• Additionally, hot stamping does not include the use of any solvents.
• Place expiration dates, product numbers, and even lot numbers on your
products thanks to hot stamping imprints.
• This process may be utilized on a wide range of plastic materials.
